Final proposals for the regeneration of King Street in Hammersmith town centre will go before the public this weekend.
London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham (LBHF)and development partner King Street Developments, a joint venture between Helical Bar and Grainger, are holding a three day information event before a planning application later this summer.
The scheme involves demolishing the 1960s extension to Hammersmith Town Hall and creating a new public square. Three hundred and twenty houses will be built alongside council offices, a footbridge across the A4 and community facilities including a supermarket, shops and restaurants.
King Street Developments spokesman David Walters said the public square will “provide a safe, fully accessible route across the road; reuniting the town centre with the Thames once more.”
Cllr Mark Loveday, cabinet member for strategy at the LBHF, said the scheme will “benefit all sectors of the community.”
