Hammersmith Pub Wins Award

The Colton Arms in Hammersmith has been voted the best London boozer of the decade by reviewers for online pub guide fancyapint.com.

The reviewer's special award was made to celebrate fancyapint.com’s tenth anniversary as part of its Best London Pub awards for 2009.

The Lord Clyde in Highbury came top in the reviewers' awards category, which was presented to the top pubs fancyapint.com’s reviewers went to over the past year.

The four runners up were: Antelope, Belgravia; Eagle, Old Street; King Charles I, King's Cross; and the North Pole, in Docklands.

The Jerusalem Tavern in Farringdon topped the visitor’s awards category, which rewarded the most visited pubs on Fancyapint.com. The four runners up were; Commercial Tavern, Shoreditch; Churchill Arms, Notting Hill; Princess Louise, Holborn; and the Wilmington Arms, Clerkenwell

The Earl Ferrers in Streatham and the Shaftesbury Tavern in Archway were voted most improved.
